As of the 1st January 2026, the Wensleydale Longwool lamb registration fees have been changed to reflect rising tag costs. If after reading the below information and attached registration form you are at all confused about registering lambs or ordering replacement tags, please contact the secretary and she will be more than happy to help you! As ever, it is preferred that registrations are submitted via Grassroots if possible.
Please note that both membership fees and registration fees must be paid before stock can be registered and tags ordered.
From January 1st 2026, registration fees will be as follows:
New pairs of tags – £7 per lamb
Replica WLSBA tag – £7 per lamb
Replica pairs of tags – £9.50 per lamb
Breeding ram registration – £10 per ram
From 1st January 2026, if your Wensleydale loses a tag and you require a replacement, the fees are as follows:
Replica WLSBA tag – £2 per tag
Replica EID tag – £2.50 per tag
There will be an additional £4 postage charge for tag orders that are NOT tied to a lamb registration order.
There is a thorough breakdown of the changes on the new 2026 registration form and on Grassroots, however if you have any issues or queries at all, please don’t hesitate to contact the secretary.
There are also some more Wensleydale specific Grassroots Workshops scheduled in over the coming months for any members that wish to brush up on their Grassroots knowledge! Details have been emailed directly to members. The previous sessions have been really laid-back and informal and the feedback has been very positive from those who have attended, so don’t be shy as it’s a bit of a laugh and you’ll hopefully learn something along the way! If you can, please do let Jodi know if you would like to attend just so that we know how many to expect (it’s free!), the sessions usually last between 30-45 minutes.
