Thank you for your interest in joining the Wensleydale Longwool Sheep Breeders’ Association. Please ensure you read the full declaration below the application form before you submit your application. If you have any questions or issues, please contact the Breed Secretary. If you would rather fill in a PDF there is one available to download, or you can get a paper form posted to you by the Breed Secretary

Declaration

I hereby declare that to the best of my knowledge the above particulars are correct and I agree to the inspection of my flock should this be required. I will diligently comply with the Flock Book Compilation, Registration and the Basic Genetics and Breeding Rules of the Association and such changes as may be made in the future by the Council of the Wensleydale Longwool Sheep Breeders’ Association. (Can be viewed on the WLSBA website www.wlsba.co.uk)

I agree to keep records of the pedigree of my flock, to register and tag my Wensleydale sheep in the manner required by the Association and to make such records available for inspection by the Council or a representative nominated by theCouncil.

I understand the following: The Wensleydale Longwool Sheep Breeders’ Association is known as a “data controller” for the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. By proceeding to use our service you agree that we may process the personal data that we collect from you in accordance with our Data Protection Policy. The information we hold about you is your name, address, telephone & mobile numbers and in some cases your email address. We have your UK Flock number, your Holding number and any sheep that you have requested are transferred to your flock or bred by yourself. We do not supply or sell this data to any other organisation for gain. Our pedigree system is operated under the Grassroots system. Our system is backed up onto a hard disc and also paper copies are securely kept. We hold this information for administration purposes and we may use your details when promoting your sheep/the breed if required and for publication in our annual flock book both in paper print and on our Association website for members access only. I also declare that I have not been refused membership of, or disciplined by, the Council or the appropriate Disciplinary Committee of any other Breed Society. I enclose a cheque for £35 (£45 overseas), payable to the Wensleydale Longwool Sheep Breeders’ Association, for prefix registration/subscription for the current Calendar Year
