Otley Show 2024
The first Wensleydale show of the 2024 season judged by Mr Andrew Bainbridge. Congratulations to Anna and Julie Pennell on winning Champion and Reserve with their 1st and 2nd placed gimmer hoggs
Suffolk Show 2024
Wednesday 29th May saw the Wensleydale Breed classes held at Suffolk Show. Judged by Mr David Ford he found his Champion in the white yearling ram in full wool, bred and exhibited by Diana Bird and Duncan Parker. He also went on to take the trophy for the Best RBST breed

Unfortunately there wasn’t the support to hold Wensleydale Classes at RTC in 2024 but Wensleydales were well represented by the team at Harrison Spinks Farm in the Any Other Longwool Section
Great Yorkshire
Show 2024
The Great Yorkshire Show was held on Tuesday the 9th – Friday the 12th of July this year, with a good turnout of Wensleydales. It was judged by Mr Nick Oliver, who found his breed Champion in Mark Elliotts Aged Ram
Ryedale Show 2024
Always the last Tuesday in July, the sun shone yet again for Ryedale show at its last in its current location. Judge Mrs Joan Ford found her champion in the Hogg in Wool from Harrison Spinks Ltd who also went onto take Reserve Longwool Interbreed Champion
Oswestry Show 2024
The Oswestry show was held on Sunday the 3rd August. Judged by Mrs D Stanhope her Champion was found in Ali Parson’s Aged Ewe, with her Ram taking Reserve Champion
Ripley Show 2024
This year Ripley show was held on Sunday the 11th August. Judged by Mr B Chandler his champion was found in Mark Elliotts Aged Ram with A Pennells shearling ewe in reserve
Wensleydale Show 2024
Saturday the 26th August saw the Wensleydale Show with a good turnout of exhibitors. Judge Sir Gary Verity found his champion in Mark Elliotts Aged Ram with A Pennells Shearling Ewe in reserve once again
Nidderdale Show 2024
Thankyou to Mr David Ford for judging the Wensleydale classes at Pateley bridge show on 22nd September. A select but strong pair of exhibitors forward today; congratulations go to Mark Elliott whose Aged Ram took the championship and Reserve with his Gimmer Lamb
Masham Sheep Fair 2024
The final show of Wensleydales classes was held today Saturday 28th September at the lovely show that is Masham Sheep Fair. The classes were judged by Dr Lynn Clouder and her Champion and Reserve were found in Mark Elliott’s Aged Ram and Aged Ewe
Other Breed Classes
Wensleydales are not solely shown in dedicated breed classes – many breeders show their Wensleydales in Rare Breed, Native Breed, Any Other Longwool and various other classes throughout the country. Below are results from those classes, some of which host the Wensleydale Longwool Sheep Breeders’ Association Rosette for the highest placed Wensleydale within the appropriate section
