The 15th Annual Traditional & Rare Breeds Show and Sale was held at Melton Mowbray Auction Mart on the 7th and 8th September. 24 Wensleydales were entered in their own section and judge Mr M. Elliott found his champion in the Ram Class winner from the Princethore Flock (Shearling Ram bred and exhibited by Dr G Steventon & Dr L Clouder). The Female Champion and reserve Overall was the Gimmer Lamb of J.McHardy (Endrigs). Reserve Female once again from the Princethorpe Flock.
The Sale held the next day saw the Female Champion (J.McHardy Gimmer Lamb) take top price of 300 gns. Thanks to Grassroots and the RBST for running such a great event and providing the following information….
