The Rare Breeds Survival TrustWoolly Roadshow rolled into Darlington marketplace on Tuesday 09/10/2018 as part of UK Wool Week and was accompanied by two Wensleydale Longwool Gimmer lambs and stand. The Woolly Roadshow is an idea commissioned and led by Karen Griffiths and her husband David Griffiths – Karen is a Vice President of the WLSBA and showcases the best of British Wool.
Attracting plenty of interest from local (and distant – three Canadian ladies in particular were very taken by the sheep!) visitors to the area, they provided an interesting day for the residents of Darlington as they learnt about the value and usefulness of British Wool.
The Roadshow continues on, alas without Wensleydale Longwools, to Derby tomorrow, Gwent on Thursday and Green Park, London Friday.
