GREAT YORKSHIRE SHOW WENSLEYDALE SHEEP RESULTS
Dr Freda Magill, WLSBA Vice Chairperson, flew over from Northern Ireland to judge the Wensleydale breed classes at the Great Yorkshire show on the 9th July 2025, picking out J A & F Elliott’s aged ram as her Breed Champion and J & A Pennell’s shearling ewe as Reserve. Mark Elliott and Anna Pennell were also presented with a shepherds crook each from the WLSBA for their service to the breed, as they retired from their respective roles as Treasurer in April and Secretary in October last year. As an added bonus, Olivia Dyas came a brilliant 5th in a huge class of 22 in the Young Handlers with a Wensleydale shearling ewe!
